For structural reinforcement of our Piping discipline in Schiedam, we are looking for a new colleague. This is a permanent position! What will you do?

As Junior/Medior Designer Piping you will have quite a broad and challenging range of tasks. You will be partly responsible for making all common detail and plan drawings.

Your daily tasks include making layouts, isometrics, P&ID diagrams, designing pipe supports and making new pipe designs, etc. You will also perform pipe lining work on site at production companies in the vicinity of our office.

You are able to determine the required work from a scope description and liaise with the client, Project Manager and other disciplines, in addition you are familiar with writing specifications or technical work descriptions.

In cooperation with the Lead Engineer you will perform the necessary control and check work on site where necessary.

Safety, efficiency and sustainability are the most important aspects that recur in our work. Our ultimate goal is to achieve a desired result together with the customer.

What do we expect from you?

• Completed relevant education on at least MBO level (level 4) in the direction of Mechanical Engineering;
• As Junior Designer: affinity with and interest in designing piping systems and 3D designs, possibly supplemented with some experience in this field, preferably gained within an engineering firm;
• As a more experienced Designer: several years of relevant work experience in the Piping design profession and gained within an engineering firm.
• Knowledge of and experience with AutoCAD is a must;
• Additional knowledge of and experience with Aveva Everything 3D Design ("E3D") and/or Autodesk Autoplant 3D is a plus;
• A pragmatic attitude combined with good commitment;
• Good cooperation with colleagues, a team player;
• Good communication skills in English and open to learn the Dutch language in reasonable time.
